Muse Bentota

Formerly named “Taru Villas – Taprobana”, this intimate villa on the beach, is located next door to “Taru Villas – Rock Villa” in Bentota.

The Muse is located in Bentota in the Galle District, one of the most popular tourist towns in Sri Lanka with stunning views of the Indian Ocean, and proximity to the celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Site of Galle Fort.

“Taru Villas – The Muse” first opened in 2002 and soon became the genre-defining benchmark for small, contemporary boutique hotels in Sri Lanka. Overlooking a lush tropical garden and the beach beyond on the southern Bentota coast, this charming nine bedroomed boutique hotel has praiseworthy food and service oriented staff.

The Muse's nine large rooms are uniquely laid out and decorated with modern amenities. Rooms are categorised into 5 types namely Classic room, Deluxe rooms, Superior rooms, Premier Room with Private Outdoor Jacuzzi and Premier Room with Private Terrace. All bedrooms adjoin a balcony or terrace which is furnished with chairs overseeing the gardens.

The architectural design of the Muse is predominantly suitable for the tropical Sri Lankan climate. Rooms provide another distinctive regional touch since they are decorated with exquisite works of art by well-known artists.

The Muse is perfect for a relaxing beach holiday with an outdoor swimming pool or simply sitting indolently by the garden with perhaps a nature walk or a stroll on the beach to enjoy the Indian Ocean.
