Meeru Island Resort, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and long stretches of white, sandy beach, is the only Resort on the island of Meerufenfushi, North Male’ Atoll. It is 1200 metres long by 350 metres wide, about 60 hectares (105 acres). The speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport is a scenic, 55-minute ride.

Meeru Island Resort and Spa offers 284 rooms namely Jacuzzi Water Villas(77), Water Front Villas(27), Jacuzzi Beach Villas(73), Beach Villas(77), Garden Rooms(20) and Two-Bedroom Villas(10).

A flat-screen TV and DVD player, as well as an iPod docking station, kettle and free Wifi are available in all the rooms as basic amenities. All rooms come with a private bathroom equipped with a shower. The iconic Jacuzzi Water villas are located over-the-water, in the lagoon. Waterfront Villas are located on the beach at the water’s edge.

Gastronomy

There are two buffet restaurants in Meeru, Farivalhu and Maalan, both with an all-you-can-eat selection of regional and foreign dishes to suit any palate. Every Friday night is Maldivian theme night, complete with a special meal and waiters dressed in traditional attire. You are greeted at the Sunday breakfast with free sparkling wine!

Meeru Island Resort features the Asian Wok Bar, Dhoni Bar, Hot Rock Bar, Pavilion Bar and Uthuru Bar. Make sure to try out the “Cold Stone” ice cream teppanyaki at the Meeru Cafe.
