Lake Lodge Colombo

A tastefully designed and family-owned, Lake Lodge is a 13 roomed guesthouse tucked into a quiet spot close to the Beira Lake, Colombo.

In a hard-to-beat central location, it gives easy access to the city’s key landmarks, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Lake Lodge is a chic and affordable hotel to stay in the capital, be it for one or more nights. It’s close to the Beira Lake, a lurid green waterway home to pelicans, and the Seema Malaka – a Geoffrey Bawa designed Island temple. Managed by Nayantara Fonseka who has refurbished the lodge, guests often describe it as a ‘home away from home’. Appointed with local artwork, polished floors, timber beams, neutral soft furnishings, and white floral arrangements – there’s ample space to unwind and relax.

Why do we love Lake Lodge Colombo?

It is surprisingly quiet despite its central location in the capital. We love that it’s small and affordable – only a few small hotels in Colombo claim to radiate such style and simplicity in this price range. It provides the opportunity to explore yet offers tranquillity during your stay.

Another aspect we love about Lake Lodge is its gastronomy. The food at ‘Table By Taru” is praiseworthy for its impressive and unusual creativity. The staff is attentive and friendly. Being small makes it really special – giving it a great, homely feel.

What can I look forward to?

Unique dining experiences, chic accommodation in plush Lake Lodge, you are close enough to Colombo’s hotspots but far enough to relish a quiet, comfortable stay.
