‘Ishq’ loosely means “Love ” in Arabic. This was originally the home of Hanif Yusoof and his family, the villa was born out of a passion to share the epitome of luxury, the warmth of a family home and a destination that evokes a feeling of home.

Formally a beloved family home, every aspect of Ishq Colombo has been designed for comfort and luxury, without compromising the warmth of a home.
Designed by renowned architect, Channa Daswatta who is a pupil of the late Geoffrey Bawa, Ishq makes great use of local materials such as stone, granite and wood. Like all Bawa designs, this too has been designed to let natural light and cooling breezes freely infiltrate interior areas. Dutch colonial design elements are also evident throughout the home yet the stylish interiors feel considered and contemporary.
