Let’s plan your journey
Hot air ballooning in Dambulla is an adventure like no other, where your flight path is generally unknown. We take off at sunrise around 5.45 am and land around 8.30 am. Our launch site will be decided by the Chief Pilot according to the wind direction for a safe and enjoyable flight. You will float gently in the breeze 1,000 – 2,000 feet above, taking off from a designated point in the Cultural Triangle and you will enjoy the heritage city views from the sky. It’s a peaceful and gentle flight where the pilot uses different wind currents at various altitudes to guide the balloon.
