Meet Vaddas who are believed to be the descendants of the island’s original inhabitants, who are thought to have arrived in Sri Lanka around 16,000 years ago. Experience their unique culture and way of life that is distinct from the majority of the inhabitants of the island.
Your excursion to one of their villages called “Dambana” will be a unique and memorable experience.
You will go into the forest with them and witness how the Veddas find edible yams, the process of finding a beehive and extracting honey, differentiating animal footprints, making a “Habaka” –a small animal trap – and of course, the use of a bow and arrow.

Located towards the northern end of the central highlands of Sri Lanka, adjacent to Kandy, is the beautiful mountain range known as Knuckles.
