The Big Game Safari Campsite at Udawalawe is set within dense jungle overlooking a man-made reservoir on the eastern boundary of the Udawalawe National Park.

The campsite is a 30-minute drive from the main entrance of the park and a 45-minute drive from the Elephant transit home.

Big Game Camp Udawalawe features tented accommodation with modern comforts including a private bathroom. Tents are lavishly set up to ensure a great setting and maximum enjoyment of the breath-taking sunset in the bush. Comfort

Enjoy simple yet comfortable accommodation in a tented camp at the border of the Udawalawe National Park, for a closer-to-nature living experience. Big Game Camp Udawalawe offers 15 tents in total.

Tents are fitted with a bedroom and an en suite bathroom with hot and cold water. The beds are raised and fitted with comfortable mattresses. Pillows, bed linen, towels, a flashlight, and basic bathroom amenities are provided. Additionally, umbrellas and raincoats are provided during rainy weather. Keep in mind the management’s eco-philosophy targets reducing all pollution, even light pollution.

At Udawalawe National Park, elephant sighting is guaranteed during every safari trip. Choose between Standard and Exclusive packages and also if you require a naturalist/guide that also could be arranged according to availability.

Experience living an adventure hearing anything from the thunder crack of ‘Elephant Crackers’ in the distance to a hoot of an exotic owl, or the soft purr of a jungle cat.
