So you get less time spent travelling to and from the Park and more actual adventure!

Mahoora Camp Yala guides take you off the beaten path. Their typical entrance to Block 1 which is Yala National Park’s busiest area, is less congested. It is one of two less-used entrances that sees a healthy population of bears and leopards but is less frequently used. In these less populated sections of Yala National Park, your vehicle will be the only jeep or one of very few.

Comfort

Mahoora Yala offers two kinds of tents, the Mahoora Elite and the Mahoora Premium, each having 4 tents. Each of the safari tents features a comfortable bedroom, a private bathroom, and a tranquil outdoor living space. The comfortable full-sized mattresses are dressed in soft linen, and the wall-to-wall carpeting gives that cosy, jungle-nest feeling. The bathroom contains a hot/cold shower, flushable toilet, washbasin, and mirror. With all the tiny touches, such as torches, umbrellas, and luggage racks, taken care of, you experience a genuinely comfortable home in the wild.

Experiences

Stays beyond two nights involve guided excursions to some of the most significant historical, social, and religious landmarks in the region. These include Kataragama Kovil, Wedacity Kanda and Sithulpawwa Temple, which is located deep inside the park.

Apart from the Yala Safaris themselves, you can go for night walks; walk along the border lands of the national parks and meet the chena men; experience cooking a Sri Lankan dish; get yourself warm water foot therapy after a tiring Safari and basically enjoy a fully immersive experience in the jungle.

Gastronomy

The Mahoora Yala executive chef prepares each meal from scratch at the campsite using hand-selected ingredients and local cooking methods.

An All Inclusive package at Mahoora Camp consists of:
