Built back in the 19th century, Uga Residence is today a charming eleven suite luxury boutique hotel in Colombo.

Built by a wealthy barrister named Sheikh Salehboy Moosajee, its then quaint atmosphere and ambience still holds true, offering a sense of seclusion and tranquility in its suites. Its appointments are elegant, contemporary, and comfortable. Yet its rich history resonates in its spacious, leafy gardens and private courtyards, Uga Residence is a great choice for long or short stays in Colombo. The 11 elegant suites at Uga Residence seamlessly blend old architecture with modern amenities. The 10 spacious Park Suites all overlook a walled garden and the front opens up onto the pool veranda except Suite 1.The extravagant ‘Residence Suite’ combines Sri Lanka’s distinct interior styling with modern amenities while its 900 sq.ft courtyard is its highlight. Rooms come with a luxurious king-sized bed, lounge, dressing area, minibar, coffee and tea-making facilities. Additionally indulge in a spacious big bathroom with an oversized vanity console and a strong monsoon shower.

The property's 16-metre swimming pool is great for morning lengths. There is a small but modern fitness room, a well-stocked library to read in during leisure times and a gourmet restaurant as well as a bar to have your choice drink. You can venture out to Park Street Mews - a high-end wining and dining precinct - located just 100m away as well as the city's most visited Gangaramaya Buddhist temple. Khan clock tower, the National Museum, Art Galleries and Galle Face Green are all a short drive away.

Uga Residence offers unrivalled dining experiences blending classic and contemporary cuisine. “Rare” the hotel's restaurant is exceptional and infuses fresh ingredients along with Sri Lankan flavours and modern international cooking styles.
