Named after the Jaffna town of Manipay also known as the “paradise of Jaffna city”, Maniumpathy was passed down through five generations. The most recent custodians have transformed the property into an elegant boutique hotel with a small yet lush tropical garden. Maniumpathy is an enchanting and secluded hotel yet with close access to boutique shops, art galleries, and museums – all reachable within a few minutes’ drive. It is a personal experience here, away from the bustle, but steeped in hospitality and warmth.

Maniumpathy comprises eight double rooms all named after the five generations of fascinating women who lived in the house. Annapuranie Suite, Poornam Suite, Soundhari Suite, Anithra Suite, Vasanthi Suite, Ranee Suite, Cynthia Suite and Chrysanthie Suite are the names given to these beautiful rooms. The rooms here are very comfortable and stylish with vintage look furniture and antiques. The master suite and two upstairs bedrooms each have room for an additional bed and there is a family room with mezzanine level for kids.

Located just an hour away from the international airport, Maniumpathy is ideal for first and last night stay or to explore Colombo. This boutique hotel radiates old-world splendour.
