Yala
Welcome to Leopard Country
Occupying much of Sri Lanka’s South-East coast, Yala National Park is a staggering 130,000 hectares in size and is a haven for wildlife.
The Park is split up into 5 Blocks with only two of them being open to the public, which ensures plenty of undisturbed habitats for the wildlife. The landscape is quite varied and is made up of light forests, scrubs, wide open grasslands, large water tanks, and lagoons.
