Cycling is the best way to explore the hidden treasures in the backyards of popular tourist destination Sigiriya. A 25 kilometre mostly easy and flat ride along the small tarmac as well as gravel roads in the remote villages around Sigiriya, will reward you with stunning views of gigantic Sigiriya Rock Fortress from different angles.
We will ride through rural villages, paddy fields, vegetable and spice fields, passing a few by village temples , tanks & schools. Our ride will end up at a typical village house to enjoy a hearty Sri Lankan lunch prepared using firwood and claypots. Part of the ride goes around Iconic Sigiriya and alongside famous Pidurangala Rock and the encounters with the real local people is one of the highlights in this trip.
