Mirage Kings Cottage is a charming colonial building more than a century old, originally owned by the first prime minister of independent Ceylon, and his brother.

Rich woody overtones and quiet refined elegance mark the decor and solid colonial furnishings combine cosily with perfect modern restorations and amenities.

Mirage Kings Cottage is situated in the highland region of Nuwara Eliya, amidst streams, waterfalls, and emerald green hills covered in the renowned “Ceylon Tea.” The two-acre property features beautifully kept gardens filled with Cypress trees, and a profusion of colourful exotic flora. The grounds overlook the calm waters of Lake Gregory and are encircled by the lush greenery of the Galway forest.

The cottage is the perfect place for a quiet getaway to experience the milder climes of the Island's hill country, away from city life. It has 05 tastefully equipped double rooms and 04 large family rooms. Elegantly decorated rooms are equipped with all the latest amenities, including free Wi-Fi, cable TV, intercom phones, hot and cold water heaters, safety deposit boxes, and attached bathrooms.

The Mirage Kings Cottage Luxury Boutique hotel now has a total of 16 additional rooms that are available for occupancy.

Experiences

Mirage Kings Cottage offers pony rides, an outdoor musical stage, a children's park, and well-equipped BBQ and fire pits. You can explore Lake Gregory, Tea Estates, the Nuwara Eliya Race Course, the Golf Course, Horton Plains, Victoria Garden, Piduruthalagala, Hakgala Botanical Gardens and Ambewela Farm to name a few.

There is a separate building with Pool and Table tennis tables. There’s chess and other board games for cosy Nuwara Eliya evenings, bicycles for hire. ..and a heated jacuzzi in the garden for indulgence.

Gastronomy

Up to 20 people can be seated in the inviting dining area, which also offers al fresco dining outside. You will be served with the best in fresh fruits and vegetables from the abundant farms of Nuwara Eliya, and world famous Ceylon Tea.

You will be treated to a culinary experience by the Chef and his staff, who will provide you with a selection of gourmet options from Sri Lankan, Oriental, and Western cuisine, that are sure to tantalise your taste buds. You can also request an outdoor BBQ experience.
